AFM Welfare is excited to share an update on the upcoming Dorcas Congress 2026, a national gathering that promises to be both impactful and transformative.

Taking place from 12–14 November 2026 at Woord-en-Lewe AFM, Boksburg, this year’s Congress is centred around the theme:
“Compassion in Action – The Church, The Community, The Call.”

Inspired by Acts 9:36–47, the story of Dorcas reminds us of a life devoted to serving others, a life so impactful that it became a powerful symbol of restoration and renewal. In the same spirit, this Congress seeks to resuscitate the heart of compassionate service within the Church, calling every member to respond meaningfully to the needs around them.

Attendees can look forward to a dynamic and enriching programme, including empowerment sessions, a vibrant Market Day & Charity Shop, and a memorable Formal Gala Event. These elements are designed not only to inspire, but also to equip individuals, churches, and communities with practical tools for sustainable impact.

The Congress will also bring together a range of experienced speakers and leaders, offering valuable insights into social care, community engagement, and faith-based responses to real challenges facing society today.

We are pleased to announce that registrations will be open from May 2026. Your ticket gives you access to all 3 days of the Congress, including impactful sessions and experiences.

Attendees will also earn PCD & CPD Points.
